Parent Testimonials
"It's difficult to put into words the gratitude a mother feels for a program and people who were so instrumental in helping her child communicate. It seems such a basic element of existing, but when you sit and watch your own child struggle with it, it is such a helpless and heartbreaking feeling. It is as though there was a locked door between us and Eliza, we needed help finding the right key! Now that the door is open, we are able to happily explore her world together as a family." -Amy Paulsen

Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) are lifelong developmental disabilites that appear during the first 3 years of life. Autism is a complex neurological disorder that typically lasts throughout a person's lifetime. (Autism Guidebook for Washington State, 2010) Individuals with ASD have pervasive deficits in social interaction and communication skills, and sometimes exhibit inflexible and repetitive behaviors.Almost 6 in 100 preschool-age children are affected by some form of ASD. (Ingersoll, B. & Dvortcsak, A., 2010)
