resources.
- helps the family and
child by making sure that services identified in the IFSP are effectively
delivered and that the needs and priorities of the family are what guide
the child’s early intervention program.
- receives ongoing
training from the state and must possess knowledge about infant and toddler
development, IDEA early intervention services, applicable federal and state
regulations, funding sources, available services and family centered planning

What is an
IFSP? (Individualized
Family Service
Plan)
An IFSP is:
- based on family’s
priorities, concerns, and resources.
- "spells out" the
early intervention services for your child.
- developed by a team
which includes your family, your Family Resources Coordinator, and the other
service providers and individuals you choose.
- designed to meet your
child’s needs.
- reviewed at least
once every six months.
During
the initial IFSP meeting you will be asked to designate a Family Resources
Coordinator.
*Please note you can
change or add FRC's at any time.
- "The IFSP is a
promise to children and families—a promise that their strengths will be
recognized and built on, that their beliefs and values will be respected, and
that their hopes and aspirations will be encouraged."
